Into The Wild by Ida Anduyan

A few months ago (yes, months, sorry for being MIA lately), the family went on a vacation in our hometown, Iligan City. Along with that my parents also checked out a few properties along the shoreline. The tide was low that time and the beach was super rocky so I didn't really feel like going for a swim while they do their adult business. So while my little brothers went playing through the rocky beach, I decided to take advantage of the nice sunset, palm trees, and beautiful background.

Photo 6-18-15, 3 11 17 PM This is actually my go-to outfit when I'm feeling lazy and not in the mood to have too much clothing against my skin. A nice, loose shirt dress paired with sneakers. I still look awesome, but it feels like I'm wearing a duster. Ha!

Photo 6-18-15, 3 09 55 PM Photo 6-18-15, 3 12 14 PM Well actually, this isn't a shirt dress, it's a men's shirt that's two sizes bigger. Hey, you gotta improvise.

So I’ve decided to add this little bonus on my blog where I share to you guys the songs I find in my dazed lazy days and also from my friends (usually from Duffie). So hurrah to my new series — The Playlist.

The Playlist would contain a random bunch of my current favorites like this, or it could be a specific playlist for a specific situation. Good music fixes my mood every time, so I’m spreading the good vibes! Nuff chit chat, go listen!

Airport Frenzy by Ida Anduyan

After several years of not going back to our hometown, my family decides to have a vacation there this summer. Of course that involves kinda long flights and when it comes to traveling, I'm all about comfort.

AirportFrenzy-2 AirportFrenzy-3 AirportFrenzy-4 AirportFrenzy-5 I’ve been asked a few times in my ask what would be the best outfit for traveling and the airport. Well for me… comfort is key! Something you can easily move in, doesn’t hug your body tight in all the wrong places, but of course, don’t go too comfy that you’ll look like you’re in your jammies (although I must admit I do kinda look like I’m in my jammies but whooo cares). Also take note where you’re going. If it’s somewhere cold, wear something that still looks good even when layered on with coats and jackets.

What I’m wearing:

Rich Soul by Ida Anduyan

cover2A few weeks ago, the 9th leg of the Bazaar for all Seasons took place in the Elements Tent in Eton Centris. Me, and a whole bunch of other bloggers were there as ambassadors and like any other bazaar, there were brief chill moments where we, the tinderas at that time, had time to go around and do whatever we want. Of course, what would bloggers do than to take advantage of the nice lighting outside the tent. Thus, this outfit post.

IMG_7599-4 IMG_7609-6 IMG_7611-7 It’s quite a shame that I wasn’t able to take a photo of my outfit the previous day. I actually wore something so girly-ish that I decided to go really street on this day to make up for it.

By far this is probably my current favorite shorts. They’re super comfy, and I love the cut. Straight cut shorts are the worst.

Rave Outfit Ideas by Ida Anduyan

College nights here, music festivals there, rave parties everywhere. I guess it’s that time of the year where people are hyping themselves up for summer. Sinulog may have passed, but there are still other upcoming parties like ENGLICOM DLSU’s Jacko Wacko and Assumption College’s Radiate… which I bet will be super epic. However, a big question comes to our mind: “What do I wear?!” yeah, I feel you. A lot of people have been asking me non-stop in my askfm for outfit ideas for rave parties. For me, if you’re going to a rave party you have to consider three things: comfort, heat, and impact.

Rave parties involve loads and loads of people and who doesn’t want to look good during a potentially super fun night, right? The challenge is balancing comfort and aesthetics because remember, rave parties include a lot of dancing and jumping up and down while you’re stuck between a crowd, which also crosses out the option of layering too much.

So here’s some outfit ideas for that wild rave night you’re looking forward to.

OUTFIT IDEA #1

Nothing says sexy better than black lace does but remember showing too much skin isn’t always sexy too! So cover up with a baseball shirt. The lace and baseball shirt also create a sense of contrast between girly and street.

OUTFIT IDEA #2

This outfit is for those who really don’t want to wear anything short for their bottoms. The rips on the jeans are enough for the leg flaunting part. Keep everything else plain and leave the statement making to your statement bralette. The red shoes also break the monochrome thing going on in this outfit.

OUTFIT IDEA #3

How about an all black outfit with a floral snapback as the main event? Also, instead of wearing the usual denim black high waist shorts, why not wear a leather one? The socks also add a little edge to the whole look.

OUTFIT IDEA #4

If there’s all black outfit, why not try all white too? Really turn heads with a cut-out tank like this and statement cap. A guy actually used my cap (which looks exactly like this) as a conversation starter during unleashed 3. Set contrast by wearing a really dark lippie and add an extra flair with falsies!

ADDITIONAL SUGGESTIONS

If you’re not really the type who can wear skin exposing tops, other tops like ribbed crop tops, ringer shirts, cropped baseball shirts, and cut out tops with sleeves work too! Try other accessories as well such as knee high socks for major statement points. The possibilities are endless!

Now I ask you again, are you ready for Jacko Wacko & Radiate?? You’d better be! Follow them on their social media accounts for inquiries and more information! You should have tickets by now!

Candy Fair 2014 by Ida Anduyan

Warning: This post contains a lot of photos… especially photos of hot guys. Last September 27 Candy Magazine celebrated their annual Fair. This time at the Metrotent in Metrowalk, Ortigas and guess who got invited to take part in the fashion sponsored by Shana? Me!

IMG_4211 The night before was a nightmare, it was already near dawn and I was still panicking, figuring out what I wanted to wear for the event and overthinking how I was going to amp up the outfit assigned to me by Shana. It’s funny though because I was going through my twitter timeline and saw that my fellow bloggers were also experiencing the same thing. Me, Renee, and Cha were panic texting each other, asking what we were going to wear before and after the event.

The event started around 11 AM but our call time was around 6:30 AM. Wow, right? I’m definitely not a morning person but of course I had to drag myself to Ortigas. Me & Cha were a bit late and arrived at the venue together with our naked faces and matching loose shirt + shorts outfit.

There was a lot of free time from 6:30 AM to 11 PM since we only rehearsed on stage for 30 minutes. After that, me, Cha, Jennica, Renee, and Nicole went to Starbucks and then grabbed a cab and had lunch at the nearest Mcdo. I must say that even though it was my first time to meet Jennica and Renee (I met Cha and Nicole from this River Island opening we attended), we all clicked and chatted like we were all the best of friends! There was never a * croo * moment with them!

After that we went back to the Metrotent and was surprised to see that there was already a long line outside! Taking note that we are all bare-faced and lacked sleep from last night’s panic, we grabbed whatever we had to disguise ourselves. Renee put on her cap, and the rest of us wore our sunnies. I don’t know, it was funny how we reacted.

IMG_4220 A few minutes after we returned, the fair grounds were opened. We got dolled up and we went around the venue and checked out the booths. I was also surprised to see the DJ for the event was my classmate, Rammy Bitong! Bruh, sick DJ.

Photo 9-27-14, 11 56 00 AM Being the vain girls that we are, we took loads of selfies! These aren’t even the half of it.

Photo 9-27-14, 11 56 01 AM Photo 9-27-14, 11 56 03 AM Photo 9-27-14, 11 51 56 AM IMG_4209 Left to right: Jennica, Renee, me, Nicole, Cha

Another highlight of the day was how we somehow felt like Mascots when we were just hanging around the fair grounds. A lot approached us and asked for a photo or two! There was a point where my face hurt ‘cause I was smiling for the longest time. Now don’t get me wrong, the whole thing was just surreal and we were all touched! The support from our readers is just….. wew.

A little message for my readers: Thank you so much and it was really nice meeting all of you. I can’t wait to meet you guys again some other time! It was really fun posing with such awesome people and the photos you tweeted and tagged me were all so adorable!

IMG_4224 Oh and hello! What’s a candy fair without the Candy Cuties? During this time we were already cooped up backstage but we could hear all the girly screams and squeals from there! Well, glad to know that the girls there were enjoying themselves!

IMG_4225 IMG_4232 IMG_4240 IMG_4242 IMG_4247 IMG_4248 IMG_4249 IMG_4252 IMG_4250 Before these cuties went up onstage though, there were all lined up backstage. One Cutie started a conversation with Cha, and after a while, suddenly sat between us and continued the conversation. Boy, that guy is super fun to talk with! He even asked if it was appropriate for him to take off his shirt onstage then he suddenly realized by himself that it wasn’t such a good idea since the audience consisted of young girls. I can’t haha! Too bad I forgot his name. Ugh, I’m such a forgetful person.

IMG_4260 IMG_4262 IMG_4266 IMG_4268 The event was studded with celebrities! One of them the lovely Joyce Pring that every guy drools for! My all time favorite model, LA Aguinaldo, was also there and woop woop, I was able to snap a selfie with him too!

IMG_4273 And so the fashion show starts! Sponsored by one of the most adorable brands around,Shana! All the clothes that the models and bloggers wore were all from them.

IMG_4276 IMG_4277 IMG_4281 IMG_4284 IMG_4285 IMG_4287 Here I come! I was actually pretty nervous backstage. Me and Cha were at extreme sides of the stage and we were hyping each other from afar.

IMG_4288 IMG_4289 IMG_4292 IMG_4300 IMG_4308 More celebs! Elmo Magalona with his song number.

IMG_4303 IMG_4311 IMG_4315 My entourage for the day, Josh and Duff! Hehe kidding. So thankful for these two boys who accompanied and watched me walk that day! I sort of feel guilty 'cause I wasn’t able to hang out with them during the event much. I was running around with my fellow bloggers most of the time but Josh called me up right before we were supposed to walk and asked me to meet him just to wish me luck! Aw~

IMG_4322 IMG_4327 I wasn’t able to finish the event. Right after the Fashion show, we got dressed and packed up. I’m sure it ended with a bang though! I mean look at this crowd?

IMG_4335 Post fashion show photo-ops! Of course.

Photo 9-27-14, 3 14 30 PM IMG_9238 IMG_9241 Halter top & Plaid shirt: Forever 21 |  High waist shorts: Levis | Snapback: Black Bakery | Socks: Nike | Shoes: Vans

Overall the Candy Fair was just a w e s o m e. Not only was it a once in a lifetime opportunity to model for one of the major brands in the country, or to meet a lot of celebrities and Candy Cuties, but I was able to meet a lot of great people and make good friends that day. The day won’t be as epic if it wasn’t for my fellow bloggers who I bonded the whole day with. Also to my readers who were all so friendly. It was a pleasure to meet all of you!

'Til the next event!

Confessions of a Phone Case Addict by Ida Anduyan

I’ve been wanting to write a post about phone cases for a while now… ‘cause you know, phone cases are a big part of my life (haha). Okay, kidding aside, I really do love dressing up my phone the same way I love to dress myself up. I can’t handle it when I use my phone without a case, I feel like I’m holding a naked body or something. I remember when my iPhone 5s was just a week old and I already had 3 cases for it.

So yeah, I just wanted to share to you guys some of my favorite phone cases and where you can get them. Nothing big, just small chit chat.

Photo 7-20-14, 2 41 22 PM My phone is less than a year old and this isn’t even all of the phone cases I have right now. Told you guys I was an addict.

Photo 7-20-14, 2 42 32 PM My iPhone’s black so I’m constantly on a look-out for unique-looking all black cases that cover up the sides of the phone too. It makes it look clean and seamless. I do emphasize that I only like “unique” black cases though. Black is already a serious and straightforward color as is, combining it with a simple and also straightforward design would look bland, boring, and too masculine for my taste.

Yes, I’m telling you now, Forever 21 has awesome phone cases.

Photo 7-20-14, 2 43 53 PM I really don’t like hard, snap-on cases. I feel like I’m doing more damage than actually protecting my phone but….. these are just so cute. Three of these cases are custom made, so plus love for personalization!

Photo 7-20-14, 2 43 13 PM When I want a no-nonsense, uncomplicated case, I just choose between these cases above. I especially love #11 it’s mint and it really protects my phone. #12 is my latest purchase, it’s so minimal and clean (you can barely see it here). I’m actually using this one right now and I stuck some holographic sticker on the backside of my phone. It looks awesome.

  • (8-9) Bumper cases with clear backs - You can find this case everywhere. I got mine just along Taft, that little stall in front Tokyo Tokyo.
  • (11) Mint TPU case - Case me
  • (12) Clear TPU case - Market! Market!

Photo 7-20-14, 2 44 17 PM Finally, this is the case I go to when I want to be I-G-G-Y fancy. Do I really need to explain why? It’s the cutest and most kikay thing ever ♥

  • (13) Chanel case - I got mine from a bazaar but this thing is everywhere too! It’s “uso”right now. Check out Greenhills. There’s a black version of this too.

How about you guys? Are you as phone-case-obsessive as I am? How many do you have? Tell me in the comments below!

The Green Machine by Ida Anduyan

Strings Manila just released new colors to their initial tee collection today and because it’s UAAP season, these aren’t just ordinary hues but hues with meaning… yeap, right you are, school colors!

IMG_3987 Some of the colors released are maroon for UP, yellow for UST, blue for ADMU, and of course, green for DLSU. School not mentioned above? Don’t fret! Strings Manila will produce NCAA colors too!

IMG_3988 Destroyed shorts - One Teaspoon

IMG_4000 Sun choker - Pinkoutsidethebox

IMG_4007 IMG_4014 IMG_4020 Denim bag - Stradivarius

IMG_4024 Socks - Shop Teen Idle

IMG_4027 5 panel cap - Greater Good

IMG_4029 Shoes - Nike

This tee is a great alternative if you want to show your school pride. School shirts with the school’s name plastered on it is too mainstream (semi kidding)! This shirt is basically double duty: not only do you have a personalized shirt, but you get to represent your school at the same time too!

So, what team are you rooting for this season?

Locals Only by Ida Anduyan

I feel like I always go on an indefinite hiatus after every post I make here… and I am so sorry for that but hey, I’m back with an outfit post! Topshop just had its end of season sale recently and I made sure to go to the first day early so that I’ll get all the good stuff (evil laugh). I even made my mom promise the night before that we would go no matter what. Yep, I was that desperate. Anyway, a lot of really nice pieces were marked 50% off. I picked up three pieces and one of them was this lovely floral jersey top I had my eyes on since Topshop first released them. I wanted them so bad but then my mom insisted we should wait for the sale. I was all, “For sure di na aabot sa sale yan.” surprisingly enough, few pieces were left unsold ♥

How about you guys? Did you also drop by the latest Topshop sale? If you didn’t, don’t fret ‘cause for sure they’ll have a “further reduction” sale soon. Also I think they have that P500 off on denim promo going on right now. If you did drop by, what did you pick up? Tell me in the comments below! Byee!

Baguio 2014 - Deux Jours by Ida Anduyan

This post is long overdue! Second day of our annual Baguio trip last February… yes, February. Sorry, I know I’m lazy. The second day is where all the Alumni go to their campus, the Philippine Military Academy and just basically see all their classmates, march on the grandstand, and have picnics with their class.

A friend actually commented how I could take wearing shorts when it was so cold that day. Deep inside my mind, I was like “I do it for fashion” (LOL).

Inner cropped shirt from Black Bakery. If you follow me on Instagram, I know you guys can notice how in love I am with basics right now. Plain white shirts should be in every girl’s wardrobe <3

Photo 2-7-14, 9 13 04 PM Bag from Louis Vuitton. A hand-me-down from my mother. I love this bag. It goes well with everything — from dainty sandals to sneakers to snapbacks… it’s just so damn versatile.

Photo 2-7-14, 11 55 29 PM Jacket from Forever 21. I’ve been searching high and low for a denim jacket with cotton sleeves. Thank God I found this. The patches make it extra cute and coming from Forever 21, it’s slightly easy on my wallet.

Photo 2-8-14, 1 49 59 AMPhoto 2-8-14, 1 50 23 AM My ever loyal, always abused gold chain necklace. Also from Forever 21. The gold color is actually starting to fade already… Yes it’s not real gold (duh) haha. I’m currently looking for a good replacement and I think I’ve found one already….

Photo 2-8-14, 1 55 53 AM Shorts from Zara. These were really a great buy. A girl needs dainty, non-denim shorts once in a while. I really hope to find more shorts like these in the future.

Photo 2-8-14, 1 54 36 AM Roshe Runs from Nike. Contrasting girly and athletic pieces is always a super great idea. For me anyway.

After the parade we took our traditional yearly photo with the giant cadet hat and other accessories (google it if you don’t know what I’m talking about), we rested for a while in our cabin, then we went to the market to buy some veggies for dinner. Cold weather, hot steamy food, and the night went on.
