The thing about wearing oversized shirts is, well, it's dangerous.

Yup, let's talk about that. Oversized shirts. Why do I think they're dangerous? Simply put, one styling mistake and you can go from cool girl to hobo girl. I'm right to assume that we're all aiming for the former, right?

I don't consider myself an expert in fashion. Yes, I blog about it, I'm super interested in it, I love it, I make it my lifestyle, I have an eye for style, I know how to dress myself up and others given the proper assessment but beyond that, I'm not a fan of watching fashion shows, I don't know famous fashion designers' distinctive styles in their designs... you know where I'm getting at. I've got a chill love for fashion. Nothing too serious.

BUT when it comes to oversized shirts, trust me when I say that it all boils down to two things, 2 C's. Contrast and Carry.

Contrast could mean the style genre or the silhouette. Casual yet sleek, dark and light, fitted and loose... balance it out. Catch my drift? My shirt and denim jacket's already casually loose, so I paired it with a clean pair of sleek ankle boots. You can opt for sneakers too, just choose one with a clean silhouette, nothing too bulky.

Fashion has a lot of rules, and this might not make sense, but one of the rules is that there are no rules (lol what). Well, there are some who go will always opt for classic, tried and tested styles, and there are wild spirits who wish to explore their styling options. If you're the latter, you can ignore the first point 'cause at the end of the day the biggest factor in dressing yourself up is how you carry yourself. Loose on loose is a major no-no for some, but if you can carry that shih then by all means wear that clean but loose white button down over your embroidered wide leg trousers. Attitude is everything.

Seriously though, going back to the oversized shirt fit, how you carry yourself is a big factor. You can follow my advice and work with the contrast of your fit, but without the right attitude, it still won't make much of an impact. With that said, channel your inner coolness and put that ooh in coohl girl, gurl.
